Phoenix's eyes lit up at the scar and a memory stirred within her and she curled her hand around his. "Bonded by blood....." She said softly. "Yes.....I remember now." Her eyes lowered, "Do you still carry my dagger?"
Ramachulainn smiled, and patted the long knife at his side. "Ever since you gave it to me," he said.
She quietly rested her head upon his chest. "I've been caught up too much by duty, it has made me forget...." She paused, "When I thought I lost you.....I had nothing else to fall back on."
"I promised I'd find you," he said, wrapping his arms around her. "It took a little longer than I'd expected, I'll admit. But I kept my promise."
She sighed, "I am tired.....but I am driven by my orders. But my orders make me tired." She then said softly in his ear in a dead whisper, "Today.....was the first time I cursed my Lord."
Ramachulainn, who had not exactly been Lord Rassilon's greatest fan for some time now, bit back his comment. The man was dead, now. Why start an argument.
"I......thought it would kill me. But it did not. I passed out. Course that didn't stop those mechanical monsters.....killing me."
He hugged her again, then eased his grip. "That reminds me..." He nudged one creature with his boot, rolling it onto its back, then squatted down to poke at it with his dagger. "What are these things? How do you get feral cyborgs?" A pause. "Iris? Phoenix? Any ideas?"
"Someone is watching us. I feel it....."
Ramachulainn looked up in surprise.
She put a finger to her head. "In here......"
"Why do I think I didn't really want to hear that?"

Ramachulainn smiled, and patted the long knife at his side. "Ever since you gave it to me," he said.
Phoenix smiled and she had to admit that this was the first time she had smiled out of perhaps anything other than the psychotic pleasure she dirived out of killing.
"I promised I'd find you," he said, wrapping his arms around her. "It took a little longer than I'd expected, I'll admit. But I kept my promise."
Phoenix wanted to snap, like a rabid creature. She wanted to say he was lying. He had forgotten her as well. He had thought she was dead. He was caught up in sentimentality.
Instead she said, "How? You thought I was dead. How could you keep a promise to someone you thought dead?" She said firmly, "I didn't survive for you to keep a promise. I survived because I tried to save our home." She sighed and lowered her head, "I failed. I failed by mere split seconds. If I had succeeded perhaps....we wouldn't have met so....consequentially.....happenstance. And you would not be so quick to forget me or think me dead and now state that you promised."
She said it so coolly, she wasn't exactly angry. Just disappointed. She also was still addled, confused. the after effects of regenerating, and Phoenix felt like she wanted to bite, as well as cut and inflict wounds upon herself. She sighed trying to take away some of the emotion she felt stirring within her and then she bowed her head almost embarrassed at what she had said, "Perhaps.... I misspoke. You meant well. I know if you knew if I were alive, you would shake all of creation to find me. I know that. It is just.....I feel cheated. I feel as though moments we should have had never were."
She could tell that Ramachulainn was frothy inside perhaps acidic towards her Lord and her devotion towards him. Instead she kissed him lightly on the cheak, hoping to ease some of that tension. "I am what I am....love." She said softly. "Do not be too hard on me or....others."
"Iris? Phoenix? Any ideas?"
"Cybermen......" Phoenix added, "Perhaps....but I've never seen them make such complicated creatures before. It is not normal for them. Perhaps Movellans, but they are not cyborg....I do not know."
"Someone is watching us. I feel it....."
Ramachulainn looked up in surprise.
She put a finger to her head. "In here......"
"Why do I think I didn't really want to hear that?"
Phoenix looked concerned, "You do not feel it. I do....." She paused a moment, "Perhaps it is my reflexes, my genetics. I was loomed with such a predatory sense of things."

"Well, that looks, intimate." Flynn said standing beside Iris. "Oh, and i love if you towed the old boy back to civilliation. Oh, that's right, here take this." He handed a small piece of paper, it read You are here ny invited to The Wedding of The Phantom and Flynn Delta, July 24, Summer 2012, Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. Please attend.
"I'll go prep the old boy for being towed." He said starting off for his TARDIS.

"How? You thought I was dead. How could you keep a promise to someone you thought dead?" She said firmly, "I didn't survive for you to keep a promise. I survived because I tried to save our home."
Her words were like a whip, and he flinched under the impact. "I..." he began.
She sighed and lowered her head, "I failed. I failed by mere split seconds. If I had succeeded perhaps....we wouldn't have met so....consequentially.....happenstance. And you would not be so quick to forget me or think me dead and now state that you promised."
"I never forgot you!" he said, more harshly than he'd intended. "Never. And I tried to find you. I tried. But the Daleks... they were coming. And there were a hundred children, depending on me."
He turned away, unable to meet her gaze. "And so... I..." It took every ounce of his self-control to keep his voice steady, and even that couldn't keep the self-hatred from it. "I left. I took them, and hid them, and waited until I received word that it would be safe."
The heartsbreak of that moment, of knowing he'd sentenced his love to death, flooded back. Saving a hundred lives from the destruction of the Homeworld suddenly seemed hollow.
"Perhaps.... I misspoke. You meant well. I know if you knew if I were alive, you would shake all of creation to find me. I know that. It is just.....I feel cheated. I feel as though moments we should have had never were."
"Maybe," he whispered, voice thick. "Maybe if I'd had the courage to abandon Duty, we wouldn't have been cheated."
She sighed, "I am tired.....but I am driven by my orders. But my orders make me tired." She then said softly in his ear in a dead whisper, "Today.....was the first time I cursed my Lord."
He bit back bitter words about Rassilon. For a moment, he could hear nothing but her breath against his ear. Then she kissed him, lightly, on the cheek. Surprised, he turned his head to look at her.
"I am what I am....love." She said softly. "Do not be too hard on me or....others."
He smiled at that. A small smile, but a hopeful one. "I'll try," he said. "If you'll do the same."
She announced that she felt... something. Something watching them.
Phoenix looked concerned, "You do not feel it. I do....." She paused a moment, "Perhaps it is my reflexes, my genetics. I was loomed with such a predatory sense of things."
He looked at her for a second. "I was the despair of my instructors in the Academy, when it came to the clairperceptive sciences." He paused. "If you say you feel it, that's good enough for me."
Ramachulainn raised his voice enough for everyone to hear. "Whose TARDIS is closest? We may have to flee, and quickly."

"Oh, and i love if you towed the old boy back to civilliation. Oh, that's right, here take this." Flynn Delta had handed Iris a small piece of paper, which, upon closer inspection, was an invitation to his wedding in 2012.
Iris smiled, tickled to be invited to such an intimate affair, even though she didn't really know him yet. However, he knew her from this Berlin Incident, so... maybe they come to grow to be friends?
"Thank you - I'd love to be there on your big day," Iris said happily as she tucked the invitation into a pocket for safekeeping.
"I'll go prep the old boy for being towed."
Iris nodded. "Good. Very good. I'll be joining you shortly," she replied. But, before Iris could go to her TARDIS to get the intergalactic tow rope, she heard Ramachulainn ask whose TARDIS was closest, because he thought they might need to flee...
"Wait... What?" she asked, turning back to the cozy couple. "Mine would be the only option, if Flynn's isn't working, though... I don't think I would wish to leave her behind if I were him..." Iris said with a bit of a shudder.
::What is going on?:: She thought with concern, as Iris could feel it too... It felt like a Time Lord had arrived (another one)... and, perhaps not a 'good' one.
"Flynn said he was going to prep his TARDIS for a tow..." Iris added after having taken another swig from her flask of gin.

"I never forgot you!" he said, more harshly than he'd intended. "Never. And I tried to find you. I tried. But the Daleks... they were coming. And there were a hundred children, depending on me."
Phoenix could feel the pain in Ramachulainn's voice, something about the pain made her feel chastened, and better, she could feel in his tone that he was truly penitent and remorseful.

"Maybe," he whispered, voice thick. "Maybe if I'd had the courage to abandon Duty, we wouldn't have been cheated."
"No....." She paused a moment, "We are only cheating each other. Both of us had duty. I too left, I abandoned you because I too was summoned. I told you, that my Lord would need me. Did I not tell you that? That one day that Lord Rassilon would need me. So we abandoned each other. The fault is not in either one of us but in the ones we served. I was summoned to protect home and you were summoned to protect race."
Phoenix nodded heavily,"If anyone is to blame it is that our paths were meant to diverge. We both knew this." She sighed, "But we are here now."

Phoenix eyed the other Time Lady, interested that she too felt the same thing. Phoenix said, "My TARDIS is not too far either but I do believe yours is closest. But I sense.....an enormity. Something powerful. Something Time Lord, but altered. Like...."
She bit her lip, her father had been good at altering things, like her, like her siblings. This could not be good. She could tell it wasn't going to be good at all.

OoC: I am SOOO sorry for not replying any sooner. I have no excuse really. I've been lazy all weekend/taking care of my sick bro.
Ic: Omega himself could sense the Time Lords, including one familiar... well... he couldn't quite put his finger on it, but he wanted it. Whomever it was, and they were coming nearby. He was completely unaware of all of the drama that had been foretold on all of this, and he readied the transceivers to beam them down teleport the creatures he had created out of his own whim.
"Bring me the Time Lords. Take them and transport them here, no matter the cost! But make sure you bring them to me alive and unharmed" He commanded. The creatures wobbled in return and then entered the pods in order to teleport them to the nearest planet where they were from.
Like any typical monster, they were immune to bullets and very hardy creatures, they would go as far as they could to waddle around the planet in search of TARDISes and people.
To the Gallifreyans, they definitely looked like a threat and they clearly were.

Ramachulainn listened. Listened and wished - not for the first time - that he'd had more aptitude for psychic skills. But then he heard the sharp pop, pop of transmat materialization.
There, in a ragged line between the small group of Time Lords and the safety of the two TARDISes, had appeared... things. Masses of orangish-black sludge, like clotted Gallifreyan blood, formed into rough mockeries of humanoid form. Soundlessly, they lurched ahead, seeming to sniff their way towards the four.
"Ah..." he heard himself say. "Please tell me that those things aren't what you were sensing."
(OOC: The goal, of course, is to get captured. Eventually. Feel free to make the antimatter creatures work for it.)

"Uhhh not exactly. I guess our other Time Lord doesn't like doing things himself or herself."Phoenix said and assumed a defensive stance and she grinned, "But I've already died once today.....and my body is still....well it hasn't gelled yet. So It's going to be a bit more interesting to take me down." She looked at her lover, her partner and her friend and said to him, "But I am all for group effort this time around." She drew forth her blade and cried out in an old War cry"Gurth gothrimlye!" (ooc: Just so you know, I like using Tolkien Elvish for my Gallifreyan. So Phoenix basically stated Death to our Foes! Just so you have a bit of a translation for that.

Flynn exited his TARDIS now wearing a fresh suit, completely unarmed and was tackled by one of the beasts. He quickly gathered himself up and examined his suit which was now torn.
"You son of a.... How dare you... This was my favorite suit! I will make you pay!" He leapt on the creature and began to punch it in the face as hard as he could. "Do!" Smack. "You!" Smack. "Know!" Smack. "How!" Smack. "Long!" Smack. "It!" Smack. "To!" Smack. "Get!" Smack. "This!!" Smack. "Suit!!!!" Crack. Blood. He had hit the creature so fast and so hard he had broken his knuckle.

"Uhhh not exactly. I guess our other Time Lord doesn't like doing things himself or herself."
Iris nodded, agreeing with the Phoenix. "Yeah... Those things are very much not what I was sensing, either," she confirmed with a slightly troubled (or perhaps put-out) frown.
"But I am all for group effort this time around." [The Phoenix] drew forth her blade and cried out in an old War cry, "Gurth gothrimlye!"
Iris sighed and took a long drink from her flask and then tucked it away in a pocket. She drew forth the sword that Ramachulainn had lent her and held it at the ready.
"Here goes..." she uttered under her breath, bracing for a fight against whatever those blobby-things were... and they drew closer, and closer...
Whatever they were, Iris had a distinctive feel that they were not friendly.
[OOC: I'm sorry this is so short. My muses have difficulties with combat scenes. First/Meddler, you have my full permission to have a blobby-thing attack Iris if you so wish. *HUGS*]

Phoenix grinned a bit as the creatures came closer and closer and Phoenix undaunted stuck her blade right in but found her hand, arm and her blade stuck. it was like sticking in tar. She hissed, "In the name of Lord Rassilon.....let go!"
Course that wasn't going to do much to these creatures, they were kind of well dim as well as dumb. Phoenix didn't dare stick her other arm in but this wasn't good, not good at all. She couldn't get her arm out and she proceeded to swear in the most undignified manner given, it may have been old Gallifreyan from the dawn of the age or Rassilon but it was the oldest most crudest swearing that Phoenix knew, after all having grown up with Rassilon, she had learned such words from him.
She then proceeded to with her free hand, grab her dagger and she sighed, she had just regenerated but she wasn't looking forward to this, but like a starfish with limbs she quickly took the dagger and suddenly began to cut herself free. She cringed, the pain was terrible, but Phoenix being the genetically modified warrior she was, was able to ignore the pain, and she managed to freeing herself from the creature, but.....she wasn't exactly completely gelled and her arm began to glow and a new arm grew back. Her sword and other arm were stuck in the creature.
Phoenix shuddered, it was the most unorthodox idea she had ever had but hey it had worked. She had freed herself from the creature.
Phoenix cried out, "We run.....run for our lives....."
If a sword couldn't stop this creature and Phoenix had to lose an arm and regrow one to get free, than fighting these creatures wasn't an option at all. And Phoenix began to run and one of the creatures began to amble off towards her, this wasn't good, not good at all.
(ooc: Yea, I know.....but couldn't resist doing something a bit, Christmas Invasion sort of like. And besides wanting to keep the action going on for just a little longer.....)

"Here goes..." Ramachulainn heard Iris mutter as she shifted her grip on his sword.
His stazer whined as the Phoenix shouted "gurth gothrimlye" and charged. The beam had every bit as much effect as her sword. The creature he had shot stopped, smoked for a second, then began shambling forward again.
Startled, he checked the setting. "All right," he muttered, adjusting the dials, "Let's try this."
The next shot was an eye-searing actinic needle of force, a ravening line of destruction capable of burning through a dozen meters of dalekanium. It caught the gelatinous mockery of a human form square in the clot-like chest and speared through, a white-hot lance that - for an instant - extended from the stazer to the horizon.
"You son of a.... How dare you... This was my favorite suit! I will make you pay!" Flynn leapt on the creature and began to punch it in the face as hard as he could.
"Do!" Smack. "You!" Smack. "Know!" Smack. "How!" Smack. "Long!" Smack. "It!" Smack. "To!" Smack. "Get!" Smack. "This!!" Smack. "Suit!!!!" Crack. Blood. He had hit the creature so fast and so hard he had broken his knuckle.
It was like punching stiff gelatin. The creature's form seemed to ripple and shake with each impact. Otherwise, its featureless "face" registered no concern.
With the final blow, Flynn's hand embedded itself in the creature's chest. And stuck fast, like a fly in amber. With a wet slurping sound it began to drag itself up Flynn's arm, absorbing more of the Time Lord into its body as it moved.
The smoking hole through the creature's body sealed in seconds, leaving no sign that it had ever been struck. Ramachulainn gaped at it, and at the weapon in his hand.
The Phoenix was racing back up the ridge towards them, clutching at an arm that erupted with golden fire. Behind her, Ramachulainn could see her sword - still clutched in her hand - embedded in the chest of another of the creatures. Phoenix cried out, "We run.....run for our lives....."
It galled him, but she was right. "That way," he said, pointing along the ridge line. "We'll try to circle around, get back to the TARDISes."

Phoenix ran, ran like the wild creature she was. But it didn't seem to help, it seemed that the creature tailing her was picking up speed. And then it expanded, Phoenix cringed, it was like seeing her long dead sister before she exploded except this time the creature simply grew in gelatinous proportions and before Phoenix knew what was going on the creature enveloped her with a loud slurp and she disappeared within. Phoenix kicked wildly against the creature and a bubble of air surrounded her, so at least she wasn't going to pass out. All too convenient, though. Phoenix cried out in a fit of angry rage, "IN THE NAME OF RASSILON LET ME GO....."
