For those of you who do not know me, I once was known as the Master. I surrendered that title as, it seems, I am but a shadow of my former self. Quite literally. Those who know me know that I sought to cheat death through many and varied means, and one of those means was a backup of my core personality and memories contained within a silver ring. After my dear Lucy gunned me down, and after I forced my own death to spite the Doctor, this ring was discovered by a foolish young human who slew another foolish young human in order to possess it. My personality engrams consumed his mind, and I took his body for my own. I discovered that I was a compressed copy when my original created the so-called 'Master Race'. A side-effect of this event transformed the limited human body I wore into a Gallifreyan body, granting me a new cycle of regenerations. It also freed me from the madness of the incessant drums, leaving me able to think properly and clearly for the first time in millennia. In the wake of these transformations, I seem to have lost my taste for universal domination. I have achieved such, more than once, and it is... hollow. Now, I seek amusement. Distraction. A purpose. And I have reclaimed the name under which I was Loomed. I have been far too quiet on these boards, recently. I have, therefore, emerged from the shadows to remind you that I exist. And to offer my services in a thread. I am versatile, and there are different roles I may fill. - In this new, uncharted age, I have become something of an antihero. You may thank Sarah Jane Smith for this. There is, no doubt, an interesting story or two to be told by substituting me for the Doctor, providing me with a companion or two, and watching the results.
- As an antihero, I am also masquerading as a UNIT officer. Think upon this, for several moments. I am certain that plots may be derived.
- And finally, for the duration of the Doctor's tenth Incarnation, I was forced to live as a human. During this time, I rose to some prominence in the international criminal underworld. Smuggling, particularly of xenotech artifacts, was my forte.

Hello Master!
Do you remember me? It's been a while since I've seen you. I hope you haven't forgotten me Master. It's been a while since we have gone on an adventure together. Maybe it would be nice to see you again.

Hello, Harry. ;]
I would love for Lucy to meet your Master! (and I'm loving that Emilie is getting a chance to as well, but no need to jump ahead on that while the current thread is still running. :] )

Hello, Master!
The Rani passed on a message to remind you about 'the Return of the Rani' thread. As for Romana? Well, she'd /love/ to meet the man she signed a death warrant for all those years ago /winks/

Okey-doke, sooo...just to clarify...am I no longer filling in for the Harold Saxon Master in Lucy's Conquest of the Dinner Dates and the Ten/Rani/Meddler thread Return of the Rani? I know I've been a wee bit slow for them, especially with the hiatus I had to take in August... :/ ...but I'm happy to continue if the people in those threads want me to, and if you weren't intending to take them over from me.

@jo: Ah, the redoutable Ms. Grant. Yes, it has been far too long. And what a pity it is that the Doctor's third Incarnation is not currently available. But we should get reaquainted, shouldn't we? @lucy: My dear, dear Lucy. We should meet, in my current form. Would you prefer to do so while I am still trapped in a human body, during the time when - I would hope - you are still dressed in widow's weeds and tearfully insisting to unit that it was that horrible, horrible Master that made you do all those terrible things? Or would you prefer to meet me after I become a Time Lord once more? @romana: Madame President, I fear that the Rani has mistaken me for that other Master. There are a few of me running about, oddly enough. But I would be delighted to make the acquaintence once more of one of the many Lords and Ladies President that signed a death sentence on me. Shall we return to our planning for The Empty Operation, or begin anew? @the Valeyard: As far as I am concerned, you may continue to fill in as Harold Saxon in "Conquest of the Dinner Date" and "Return of the Rani". There are a few of me running about - something you should be experienced with yourself - so confusion reigns supreme.

Ah, to be Peter and to deny you three times? It would be most intriguing for Lucy to meet the Master in his current form, and would certainly add an interesting layer as to why she was so keen on killing 'Harry' when she resurrected if she knew there was already another Master in the universe....
Although, I was under the impression that Lucy 'kept her silence'? Either way, LucyxMaster = love. Somewhere post the fall of the Valiant but before End of Time works for me!

Well well well. Another enemy of the Doctor. I think it'd be interesting if Davros and the Master got together to plot the demis of the universe. Or battle it out against each other for control. Either would be very interesting, to say the least. What do you say to a meeting between these two?

The Doctor seems to be missing, he left in his TARDIS, much to the Brigadier's annoyance. As for me I am still currently working at UNIT, helping whoever I need. I'm not sure the Brigadier would enjoy you coming there, but I am sure I will run into you at some point.

I'm all for joining you in the Empty Operation, Master.
But I must warn you... I'm not a very good cook. There was an unfortunate accident where the Doctor and I swapped bodies as a result of it.

Would it be alright for the Doctor to join us? He seems to be back!

@lucy: It sounds delightful. Shall we begin with engineering your escape from Broadfell Prison? And as far as "keeping her silence" is concerned, I'd always assumed that she shot the Master and then sung like a canary in an attempt to spin everything as the Master's fault ("I was a victim of that evil, evil man! I had to kill him, or he'd have enslaved the world, and only the Doctor's intervention broke his hold on me long enough to do it!"). But she's your character, so I can roll whichever way you want. @davros: The demise of the universe? But then, what would I rule? Also, it sounds like a thread destined to end in double-crossing, triple-crossing, and murder. In other words, let's do it. Shall we go pre-Time War or post-Time War? @jo: By all means, invite the Third Doctor. Let us do a Classic episode! @romana: Swapped bodies? Is that what they're calling it, these days? Never fear, though. I have... swapped bodies a time or two, myself. So let's get back to our planning thread for The Empty Quarter, and try to get this started in the next day or so.

In the End of Time, I just remember Madam Tresfuss (sp?) telling Lucy that she "kept her silence well" (although I admit, that phrase now has me picturing Lucy with a pet Silent... now that would be intriguing...).
Escaping Broadfell sounds ideal. I suppose Lucy could have gone off about the Master some, since there is a disparity between "The Master" and "Harry". I'll think on that some.
Would you like to start? Or shall I post Lucy in her cell?

Demise, take-over, control...you know what I'm saying. Villainous things. As for when it should take place, I do not mind. Either one should work. Do you have any preference?

@lucy: Lucy with a pet Silent. That has potential. I am amused by it. We should see if anything develops out of that.
In fact... it could explain why Lucy seemed so scattered, sometimes. Maybe there's something unusual about her mental architecture. Synesthesia, maybe - she can "see sounds" and "smell colors" and such, and that interferes with the Silent's ability to wipe her memory. Heck... maybe the Cole family line has always had this, and as a result have always been affiliated with the Silent in some capacity (like, the neolithic ancestors of the Cole family were the "shamans of the silent gods" or something). This also implies that the description of Lucy as "not especially bright but essentially harmless" is utterly false1
Why don't you go ahead and start off in Lucy's cell, at least three months after the events of Last of the Time Lords? (It has to be more than ten weeks, simply because the Master didn't come back to life for that long.)
@davros: Why don't we see if we can draft a Classic Doctor, then? Maybe the fifth or sixth. Then I can go all maniacally crazy, you can chew the scenery like a teething puppy, and we can have all the Daleks we want without explaining where they came from this time.
1Well, that and the fact that her only reaction to the Master's murder of the entire cabinet was distress at the sounds the Toclafane made doing it. Oh, and the way she didn't even flinch when the Toclafane murdered a 650 million human beings...
