He probably didn't even hear the Doctor's response over his own laughter. After a moment he took a few steps away from the console. The Master spun himself around for a moment, as if he was enjoying the chaos and destruction that would soon occur from their adventure. Take out one of the most powerful beings in the known universe and all of space and time. Quite a challenge, wouldn't one say?
He turned his attention to this...other self, this back-up of his that had somehow gained independence from his control, when that Master had begun asking the Meddling Monk how to take care of the ToyMaker.
"Oi!" he called to him, not giving the Meddler a chance to reply to him. "Aren't you forgetting something other me? I got to go to the toy room before the Last Great Time War. The Doctor here has dealt with the Guardians of Time more than any of us."
He walked down the stairs from the main console as he approached him. "When you trap an opponent, how do you trap them? You surround them with some...barrier they can't get through. You find what your victim can't pass through...and then you bind them with it. Think like a game of chess. The path of the pieces are what the King can't pass through. You use a cage for an animal. You trap a human at a dead end of a maze, or bind him with a strong enough rope."
He turned to face the Doctor now. "So the question remains Doctor. What can't the Guardians of Time pass through?"
It was a trivial question to him, and he felt like it should be even more trivial for the Doctor. As much as he hated to admit it, the Doctor has had far more experience at dealing with the Guardians than any of them, and even more so with more powerful beings. Omega, the Guardians of Time, Kinda, Eternals, the goddesses Death and Time, Rassilon, Azal, Sutekh, Chronos...
As much as he hated even more to admit it, he was extremely jealous of these different beings the Doctor has met, faced, and defeated.
