@amy - Of course Iris is always fun, she can pop up nearly anywhere, would love to see her and Fitz get up to something. Jilly might like to see what's going on in London, if this business about the psychic paper becomes on the radar (possibly due to it being used by the Time Agency?). Alternatively, perhaps Jilly, Meddler, and Fitz could wind up in a separate plot.
@omega - I suppose it just begs the question what would Zagreus and Drax be up to with all this weirdness about the papers going on? Curious! =)
Which sort of leads me into the next bit. Who might be behind the scenes here, where is the paper coming from? And why are they doing it? Is it just a fools prank, some group that got ahold of the technology? Was it some kind of mistake, or is it a setup for something? And if so, who might be a likely list of culprits?

Fitz & Iris = yup. Gotta happen. When my brain is more awake, I'll try to brainstorm some plot-scenarios for us.
Fitz, Jilly, and the Meddler? Yus, please! I think this would be super-fun! Again, like with Iris, I'm gonna have to get back with you on thread ideas. It's about bedtime over here.

Still thinking on the general why for the plot, and who the challengers are, curious how Drax and Zagreus will be involved (I'm sure Omega will have ideas about that :D ). The Pinkie and the Brain "to take over the world" seems meh if played straightforwardly; what if it was something other than that, for a change? Maybe it is being used as a warning, not unlike how the Atraxi used it, but for different purpose? Or perhaps it is being used as a catalyst/repressor for targeting/jump starting potential people with latent psychic abilities (or encouraging mutation). Casting a wide net, pulling out some and throwing the rest back. Or perhaps they seem to only transmit the truth when you touch them...

As for the Paper itself, some of the properties in-story for Psychic/Suggestibility paper are:
(Once we have an idea what the use of it is, we can see what sort of changes have been made to the above, just throwing it out there for brainstormy purposes)
-can be tricky to use, inadvertently giving off personal information or subconscious thoughts unwittingly to another person (though there is no afterimage visible for the user to see)
--sometimes gives information against what is presented if the person is lying, even if trained ie when the intended thought was too unbelievable, the psychic paper would only display squiggly lines.
-those of high intelligence are immune, as are those with psychic training (ie, TW) and some alien races are immune
-it is able to receive messages from throughout the universe (by the Doctor, the face of Boe, and the Atraxi)
-Messages on psychic paper appear in the reader's handwriting
-can be used to open doors in place of a keycard (by the Doctor)
-When used by psychics, the psychic paper would sometimes bounce the individual's powers back on them or to see their own future
-may be used as a sort of truth telling device
-does not work properly when wet

I did have a silly idea on a beginning...and then a few other random ideas. Might kickstart something?
Goldilocks and the 3 Beers: Fitz returns to his flat one day to find Iris seems to have eaten his food (not that there was much), drank all his liquor (there was quite a bit) and has passed out/took a kip on his couch/floor etc. Fitz’ possessions look like they've been gone through. Was Iris looking for something she left, hid (Pandora's box), or swapped by accident ( her hip flask full of ... ) was planted, or did someone flip the place and Iris came to help, or what? Pretty much anything can happen from there, take a turn for the less surreal and include any number of other chars = )
RSVP: Happy 40th 30th 21st birthday (again): Iris plans her/someone else's or attends someone's birthday; Fitz rummages around the TARDIS for a re-gift, everyone is invited, especially those specifically not invited.

Ohhhh... I love those ideas! I think I might go for the Goldilocks plot - one question, though: do you have a preference as to which incarnation of Iris you'd like to have in this thread? There's a listing of them all HERE, after her application (3rd post). *hugs* |

Thinking 'bout it, how about a blend of the two plot ideas for Iris/Fitz: What if Iris shows up at his flat to celebrate Fitz's birthday (but, the dippy dame got the date wrong), and as he wasn't home, Iris started the party without him. When he gets home, she'll be passed out awkwardly, drunk on the Wine Lords' wine - but not the counterfit '37, to be sure (she might have pinched a case or two (or more) from the Delirium Archive). Fitz should know her second and fourth incarnations from paracanon, but, as far as I'm aware, he wouldn't know any of the others... yet.  |
