"We go on. We always go on."
Those words comforted and empowered Nobody. It's those words that gave him the power to keep on moving after what happened with Allow, and it's what helped keep him moving in this dimension. The human ability to move along a normal timestream, along a normal story in the face of danger always impressed him. This was no exception. Still, they had no idea, after all. Though as he stayed quiet, he could feel Leela's hand tighten around his, and he wondered what that meant.
"I am sorry to ask this of you so soon, Outis, but anything that you can tell us about this beast - anything at all, might be useful to us. We need to try and work out where it is going to strike next, how it will strike, and we need to get ahead of it, and work out a way to stop it," That comment made him wonder... how would he describe himself?
"You know those stories about how monsters always hide in the most obvious places? Those creatures you see as very unassuming? That's what this one is. You never see it coming. I guess... that's how it is with this monster," Nobody looked up, "Sorry. I can't be much more help than that."
"I'm not picking anything up over the scanners. I'm going to take her to the next planet in the chain, to see if there's anything going on that isn't registering."
Of course he didn't. Because he wasn't using the proper scanners for it. You can't scan words, after all. Nobody felt elated, though. The next planet? What could he do on this next one? Destroy it? Maybe he could die it off slowly. That seemed like a lot of fun... Just slowly kill off a society for the hell of it... that was his job, after all.
For fun.

Tempsento's fingers danced over the controls as the ship spun into the vortex, racing towards the next world in the system. Perhaps, if he was fast, then they could get ahead of this thing, this... whatever it was, and head it off, before the next world was damaged.
Shaking his head, he sighed to himself. Even to him, that sounded like a long shot.
Leela listened to what he was saying, a look of fascination in her eyes, in spite of everything. The ways of predators had always been fascinating to her. After all, there was a lot that could be learned from watching them, and knowing how they thought, and stalked their prey. It you knew how to think as they did, then you knew how to move amongst them, and hunt them in turn.
"That makes sense. I remember an insect back home. It was small, no larger than my hand, and looked almost exactly the same as another one, but the bite of it could kill five grown men. It was small, and unassuming, disguised, and very, very lethal."
Where the TARDIS dropped out of the Vortex, a pretty gold and green planet spun below them, and Tempsento ran another scan on the planet.
This time, a frown settled on his face, and he gestured to Leela, to come over.
"What is it, Tempsento?" Leela was determined not to leave Outis's side, if she didn't have to.
"Just come here for a moment, please?" His voice sounded strained, and terse. "I need to show you something."
Leela stood, and gave his shoulder one more squeeze. "I will be right back."
Crossing over to where he stood, Leela took a place at his side, studying all of the screens, even though she didn't understand a fraction of it. "What is the matter?"
His voice was barely more than a whisper, for her ears alone, as he replied. "I ran an internal scan, as well, to check the integrity of the ship, after that turbulence, and I think we have a problem. She's only registering two life signs, on board."
As though cold water had been poured over her head, goosebumps broke out on her skin, as she studied Outis out of the corner of her eye, and finally realized what she'd been missing. She could smell the smoke, and so many other little things, but... "He has no scent of his own."
Her own voice was equally low.

Nobody glanced cooly at the whole story that Leela had shared about the insect and it made him realize just how much he was like that insect right now. He was small and unassuming but he was extremely lethal. It almost gave him a rush on the whole situation, and as soon as they fell out of the Vortex, Nobody focused on the gold and green planet, almost fascinated by the colors. He only knew the colors as words in his homeland, but this? This was special...
He didn't quite notice the two of them quietly talking in the corner. It didn't register in his mind that he had no life signs of his own, despite supposedly having two hearts as well. It was only ever stated after all, and Word Lords never needed a physical body. Too messy, after all.
His eyes flickered over to the control panel in curiosity, wondering just what he might be able to do as of this current moment. He couldn't stay in this TARDIS for too long... he needed to take out that other planet as well. He needed to show everybody who's boss.

"Cut the engines. Pretend that it is a fault. We do not want to let him get any closer to the planet."
Leela's mind was already racing, analyzing the situation. If this creature was what had destroyed the planet behind them, then he was obviously far more powerful than he looked, but there was no way that he would be able to get from the closed shell of the TARDIS, across to this planet. Nothing could survive in the vacuum of space.
With an air of decisiveness about him, Tempsento cut the engines of the TARDIS, so that she hung dead in space, well outside of the planet's atmosphere.
"Vortex take it!" The anger and fear in Tempsento's was very, very real. After all, he'd seen what this man, this creature was capable of, and the thought of being trapped in a confined space with him made his hearts race.
Leela, however, showed no outward sign of concern.
"Outis, do you know anything about ships, and ship engines? It seems she was damaged, by the force of what happened to ... well, to your planet, and Tempsento is skilled at flying, but he is no repair man."
She hoped that Tempsento could read her intentions, and would not alert this man, in any way. Get him close enough, and then a knife to his throat would stop him, as well as being fitting revenge, for all of the dead that he had left behind.

Nobody never was good at picking up subtle human signals. He felt it was all below him, after all, so he paid no attention to the sudden difference of the tension in the air between when Leela and Tempsento had left and returned. He just assumed it was just some discussion on what was going on. This left him to plan his next move. He wasn't stupid, after all. He knew they would catch on quick.
He just didn't realize how quick they would catch on to his foolish endeavors. As soon as Leela returned to his side, he turned to face her, his eyes attentive and bright.
"Outis, do you know anything about ships, and ship engines? It seems she was damaged, by the force of what happened to ... well, to your planet, and Tempsento is skilled at flying, but he is no repair man."
"Me? I mean, I'm decent at repairs," Lies for him. He knew he could manage working on a TARDIS. They weren't too different from his CORDIS, after all. Just in a different field of view, "Where is it damaged?"
Maybe if he got into the TARDIS he could pilot it wherever he wanted it to go. That meant putting it on a hard lock to the next planet for him to destroy. The man had already stepped forward, closing the distance between him and Leela, not even aware of her own intentions. He was used to Time Lords being goody two shoes and nonviolent; wishing to remain outside the field of view. Leela would be a very different match for him.

Tempsento held his silence, one hand on his staser to back Leela up if he had to, and with his gaze turned away from the two of them. In any other circumstances, he would have ordered her to stand down, or at the very least, simply stun this... this being, rather than kill him, so that they could interrogate him over the methods that he'd used to leave the planet behind them as nothing more that shattered, broken rubble. If it were something that his superiors could have turned to their own purpose, then he was about to be in a lot of trouble.
But that was besides the point, as far as he was concerned right now. He'd seen what this creature could do, with his own two eyes. He was too dangerous to let live, too dangerous to keep on the ship in order to bring him back to Gallifrey. It was that simple.
Leela betrayed no sign of tension, as the man moved into her space.
"Come." Leela reached out, to loop a casual arm over his shoulder, seemingly as though to continue the support that she'd been providing for Outis ever since they'd brought him abord the TARDIS. "The access panel to where the damage is, is over here.
She drew him away from the controls with her, towards a hatch in the floor, watching him out of the corner of her eyes. "I am sorry, Outis."
Her hand tightened on his shoulder, as though squeezing in sympathy... and then her blade was in her other hand, moving almost more swiftly than the eye could follow, angeling to slit his throat, and stab him in the chest, where a Time Lord's hearts would be.
"I am sorry, for the sake of all your victims, that we did not leave you to die in the dust with them!"

"Come," The woman reached out to loop an arm around him and he walked with her, unknowing of their plan as they both led him over to the location he could assume was the entrance to the access panel, but wait... didn't he have to check the controls first? Now he was wondering... but at the same time excited to see what the two would do in this situation, "The access panel to where the damage is, is over here."
"Shouldn't be too hard," Nobody casually mentioned, before he felt a shift in the language of their bodies. Finally, Nobody was getting perceptive of this language and the air around him reeking of twist and danger, and deep down? It excited him.
"I am sorry, Outis," The woman squeezed his shoulder and he tilted his head quizzically, before he felt the threading, graceful rush of movement and the feeling of a sharp blade glide across his throat. It honestly surprised him. Out of anything he would expect someone working with a Time Lord, or a Time Lord would even allow, he wasn't expecting actual murder over merely stunning an individual. Was this woman part of the CIA?
He felt the blade plunge in his throat, but as Leela pulled the knife out, words seemed to visibly drip out of both injuries. Nobody merely stood there, blinking in surprise as he drifted his hand up to touch the injury on his neck, and then on his heart. The words spilling out could easily be deciphered in various languages as 'blood, chaos, destruction, pretty poison, allow,' and even some gods names spilled out.
"I am sorry, for the sake of all your victims, that we did not leave you to die in the dust with them!"
Nobody stood there for a brief moment, before he let out a garbled laugh. Now this? This was amusing. The injury seemed to slowly heal in on itself as he adjusted his coat jacket and shook his head.
"You caught on quicker than I expected, and this? This is a surprise, so," Nobody lifted his hands up in a shrug, "I guess points on you for that one. I would never expect Time Lords to resort to cut and dagger techniques. Are you CIA? You gotta be CIA. Aww, my hearts go out to you sinners!"
Nobody stepped backwards, precariously over the hatch under the console, grinning like a madman with his eyes twinkling in delight. This would be too easy, but he was a sucker for games, and games they shall play.
"We're gonna play a little game," Nobody snapped his fingers and the world seemed to escape around them into complete blackness, with only white glowing lines indicating roads. In the center was the TARDIS console, "If you can beat me to the console, next planet is saved."

Leela watched with her eyes wide in horror, as her blade slid smoothly across what looked like flesh, hitting every mark, but the man didn't fall, bleeding out. He didn't gasp, or even flinch, although she had felt the edge of her knife biting through skin, and hitting what felt like breastbone. Instead of bleeding red, or green or blue or even orange, he bled words that danced to fast for her to read.
Her eyes followed his hand as he touched where she'd struck, and for a moment she felt frozen to the spot, transfixed by the way that the words flowed around his hand, and became a part of him once again. She'd never seen a creature heal so fast, literally before her very eyes.
She'd thought this thing a creature of flesh and blood, had treated him as such, in spite of what she'd seen, both in the face of evidence of his power, and in the fact that the TARDIS didn't detect him. Clearly, she had been wrong. So often, the Doctor had warned her against leaping in, before she looked.
This time, she could see that it might well be her undoing.
"What are you?" Her words were a breath of a whisper, as she stayed her arm from moving to strike once more. She would not be able to defeat an enemy like this, without getting to know so much more about him, aboutit first. "I might be traveling with the CIA, but they are nothing compared to me!" Her voice was full of pride, passion and her grief for the dead. "I am Leela, Warrior of the Sevateem people, bodyguard of the Lady President, and companion of the Doctor, and today, for the sake of all lives that have fallen to you, I name you as my prey! My knife has marked you, and I will not rest, until I have seen your story come to an end." As the blackness enveloped them, and Leela lunged for the console, Tempsento took aim and fired in the direction of the voice in the black, his aim straight and true.
Leela's fingers were outstretched, reaching in desperation, as Tempsento spoke in reply to Nobody's words. "Lives are not a stake to be played with, as in a game. In the name of the power given to me by the mastery of Gallifrey, you will surrender yourself into my custody."

"What are you?"
The words that Leela had uttered and Nobody wouldn't ever explain. He was a Word Lord and, to be honest, explaining himself to the pair would only serve to have them show his weaknesses and strengths, and he could gather from Leela as he looked him up and down that she was far sharper than he gave her credit for. Nobody eventually put his hands on his hips.
"I might be traveling with the CIA, but they are nothing compared to me!" Leela spoke out, "I am Leela, Warrior of the Sevateem people, bodyguard of the Lady President, and companion of the Doctor, and today, for the sake of all lives that have fallen to you, I name you as my prey! My knife has marked you, and I will not rest, until I have seen your story come to an end."
Sure enough as he looked at his chest a subtle pair of words marked on him. Leela and Knife. Well, now this was going to be an interesting story to continue. Leela's spiritualism and her warrior nature served an advantage. She may not be smart like Tempsento, but she was intelligent.
"Well, Leela of the Sevateem," Nobody gave a thin smile, "It is my honor to face you in this game. This will make for a very interesting Story."
"Lives are not a stake to be played with, as in a game. In the name of the power given to me by the mastery of Gallifrey, you will surrender yourself into my custody," As she continued, Nobody merely laughed as he curled his fingers around the pair, the stasis bolt fired straight and true at him and he shuddered back mostly due to the knockback. Yeah he may be immune to hits, but he wasn't immune to physics. Physics was a language, after all.
"My cousins, the Time Lords wouldn't do well to try and keep me in their surrender. Their Story is just as integrated as Our Story," Nobody explained, "Also watch out for the walls..."
As Leela lunged forward she would suddenly find herself whipped at a ninety degrees. While her physical form may feel as if she was unaffected, from the outside, it would seem as if she had gone flattened and turned into a moving mural on the wall. Nobody laughed as he launched himself into the mural, floating around her with glee.
"Did I mention there's walls here, and you're in one? You're in a story, Leela. How will this one end?"
