TIME AGENCY
The Time Agency is an organisation that originated around the 49th century and was shut down some time in the 52nd century. The Agency employs humans (and near-humans) called Time Agents, and they also have a large war fleet. Time Agents use wrist straps which enable them to travel through time and space, going on missions of various, unspecified natures. One account states that, "The Agents’ purpose is to change without interfering, to leave an effect with no evidence of cause. To be untraceable, undetectable, invisible. To all intents and purposes, the Agents do not exist."
As far as I can tell, the Time Agency is not necessarily a full-time job. It seems that Time Agents can pick and choose their missions from a pool of things that need to be taken care of. Then, they get paid upon completion of each mission, when they return to the Agency and make their report. Sometimes, however, orders will come down from above, and assigned missions will make the odd appearance, every once in a blue moon.
The Time Agency and Hokrala Corp were both involved in the sinking of Atlantis. The event was considered a failure for the Time Agency [TWN: The Undertaker's Gift].
The Time Agency has been known to punish Agents for failure; punishments may vary based on the extent of the Agent's failure, as well as the attitude of the one giving the punishment - this can be up to and including Termination (take "termination" to mean what you will... either getting fired, or getting killed and erased from History - both are possible, should the writer so choose, but please consult the Staff before killing off your own character).
It is suspected that the Time Agency is actually owned and run by The Families, who may or may not also have ties with Faction Paradox; however, in reality no one really knows for sure... Perhaps when the Agency shuts down in the 52nd century, that will be when The Families fall.
Time Agents Must Be at least 18 years old (the characters, not necessarily the players).
Agents must be human or near-human, though the odd, rare exception may possibly be made if one were to ask the Staff.
Agents can come from any point in History - so long as established Canon is not interfered with - and their applications ought to outline how they came to join the Time Agency; of if they join the Agency during RP on the site, then these details ought to be added to the character’s original application ASAP.
Also, since the Agency’s lifetime spans close to 300-400 years (or thereabouts), it would be helpful to know where your character fits into the Agency’s timeline; however, this is not required (as it is very, very nitpicky). Doing so is simply encouraged.
