“You don’t have many friends do you?” Oracle smiled a little to herself as she moved her arm out from under Khepri’s head “Now, that’s not true.” She said in a mock offense tone, as she gently hit Khepri with a pillow “Just never felt the need to make any.” Oracle smiled again to herself as that memory played out in her head. As she watched the light from the sun fade and the stars started to appear in the night sky, there was too much light pollution in the area for her to get a great view of the stars, but they were still there.
Leaning back against the Benben of the pyramid Oracle crossed her arms across her midsection a little before winching and pulling her hand away, yup, still bleeding. Sighing Oracle winced once again as she stood up slowly. She’d spent to much time here as it were, authorities would be making their way here soon she was sure of that, the fact that Oracle was up there as long as she had been, was somewhat surprising.
“Anubis, friend of the dead, warder against the dark, I praise and honor you.” Khepris voice echoed through her head causing her to falter a little as she went to stand followed by pain radiating through her ribs causing her to yelp in pain some catching her breath. “You’re not here. You’re just in my head.” She could have sworn she heard Khepris hearty laughter “Oh, my dearest I’ve always been in your head, and forever there, I shall stay.” Oracle groaned a little bit in annoyance and started making her way down the pyramid.
”Turns out, if you cause enough trouble, even death doesn’t want you.” Oracle closed her eyes and moved her head trying to pop her neck and shut out Khepris’s voice “You’re dead.” her teeth started to chatter a little as she made it down the last couple of steps of the pyramid “Yeah, and you’re dying guess we’re both get to see what Anubis looks like together.” “Shut up!”
Oracle stopped, realizing she had just screamed that out loud and was now getting some seriously suspicious looks from the few stragglers left.
Wrapping her jacket around her, she was cold and needed to hide the blood. Looking down Oracle pushed past them; she had a boat to catch.
