So for those of yall who are in the C-Box, yall know about my London Trip this Summer. One of the required things I'm having to do for my class before I go there is...essentially reading and watching a lot of Victorian-Era novels and stuff (The Time Machine, Sweeney Todd, Tale of Two Cities, Jekyll and Hyde, League of Extraordinary Gentlemen Comic Book, Sherlock Holmes adventures, etc. Bottom line long list)
For those of yall who have seen the Series 7 Christmas Special, the Snowmen, yall know at one point they mention Madame Vastra's and Jenny's adventures have inspired the original author of the Sherlock Holmes novels.
So, as I will be dealing with Victorian London for my summer, I thought what better way to capitalize on it and using my readings and experiences to make a plot?
So here's my proposed plot. The Master...Anthony Ainley Master, is basically in Victorian London in his next plot of World Domination/Destruction. Essentially this plot involving other Victorian Era Doctor characters like Vastra, Jenny, Strax, even that "Next Doctor" from the Cybermen related Christmas Special, would essentially be working to try and stop the Master...This said adventure being eventually what may or maynot potentially lead to the influence and creation of Moriarty in the Sherlock Holmes novels.
This plot may also potentially link back to the Master Plan related plots and threads, so there will be Delgado and Roberts Masters also involved, as well as elements from their section of the plot I was going to originally do.
Time Lords, especially the Doctor are also invited to participate if need be.
But as we currently have no RPers playing Vastra, Jenny, or Strax to my knowledge, I was also curious if anyone willing to participate in this plot would be willing to NPC them, or any other victorian era canon characters in Doctor Who I may have forgotten.
So. Anyone interested?

Nice, I like the idea If you want a PC in the chaotic neutral (good on occasion) spectrum then the Corsair gladly volunteers. As for NPCing the Trio, I could be Vastra, but preferably only if no one else is able to take the part.

Oooooh, Victorian times! <3
If you're desperate for an NPCed Jenny, give me a holler. I *heart* me some Paternoster Gang!
I'll also offer up Time Agent Jilly (or her Time Lord self, the CIA "Designer" Berenyi) and/or River, if you might be interested - no worries, if you're not. I just thought I'd offer.
*hugs*

Very well, we have one potential Vastra, one Jenny, one chaotic neutral time lord, and...
You know I've been wanting to do a thread with Dr. River Song for quite some time. And considering Ainley incarnation has already met Rory and Amy, at the same time in 11 and River's bodies...Oooooh yes this will be fun.
Anyone else wish to join in? We still need at least one Strax NPCer

*waves* Time traveller right here with a known penchant for Victorian London. Usually 1888 - you know, being Jack the Ripper, and all - but hey, I could have some leeway. And I would /love/ to NPC Strax.
Only thing is, if I join in, I'm afraid I'll be very slow. :/ So up to you guys, if you especially want a Valeyard (canon steampunk plz!) and/or can't find anyone else for Strax. But I'm totally cool with it if you want to say maybe next time, you'd rather have a fast-moving thread for this one.
(I've decided this is how I'm going to roll, by the way, because too many opportunities are passing me by while I keep turning down thread offers - I'll warn people I'm slow and leave it up to them whether I do a thread or not.)

Same here, I'll be working so I'll be around only evenings CET time; however, I'll at least check everyday for updates and try to post within 24 hours. If that works for you I have no problem doing Vastra and the Corsair and I'll definitely need the fun/distraction, love the Trio AND Victorian/steampunk theme.

@valeyard & Corsair: I doubt either one of you will be too slow. I'm not at all put off or concerned about your level of activity. I think we'll be a-okay! Koschei: I think a pre-Library River would be quite pleased to join in the madness, too - lol <3 *HUGS*

Also... How do we feel about posting up NPC files for the Paternoster Gang? Maybe even individual logins?
Just asking. <3

Well, I wouldn't use the word "required", but it might be nice to at least have a write-up for them in the NPC area, since we're going to be featuring them in our thread.
I'd say that the individual logins would not be "necessary", but if we might like to write for these same characters again in another thread, it might be nice to have a separate login for them, since that way, their posts would all be connected to a single account (and not cluttering up our other characters' accounts).
Then again, if this is a one-time thing, creating logins might be a bit unnecessary, as we can just include them in our other characters' posts. *shrugs*
I'd love to hear what ya'll think! <3

Usually I check on things here once every day. I can sometimes do instant replies after...on average I'd say an hour of reviewing posts that occurred after my last one. Sometimes however there days where I do have difficulty writing up a reply to a thread.
With my summer how it is this year, I myself will be able to post in evenings...in whatever time zone I will be currently in at the time I come on.
But usually I do like to post in a thread at least...once a day or once every two days. Even then I'm not too picky about thread speeds under normal circumstances (provided I am reminded or made aware it's my turn to post every now and then, should I forget to check myself), but I would also...somewhat like to go through this plot at a good pace/speed. So with that speed in mind (once every 1-2 days) would that still work for yall? I could also push it to 3 days if need be, if that may work best for some people.
No one still feels intimidated I hope?

Mmh...sadly, I might have to back out of this one, in that case. About once a week is tops for me at the moment. :(
Have fun, guys! And do let dear Vastra know that Jack the Ripper is...well, maybe not /alive/ and kicking, but a good deal more here than the lookalike she must have eaten. :P

Valeyard, I will make sure to create a thread for you to make up for this.

@the Master: I think once per week is more accurate for a thread with four players (and 7 characters) involved, though having a lofty goal isn't a bad thing.
