It sounded positively mad. And impossible. It would make a great story. Sarah Jane dug into her desk and came up with her on location satchel that held paper, note pad, one of the smallest cameras (not) on the market, and all of her press passes. It did not occur to her that they'd be no good where she was going.
She took a long hard look at the Doctor that she knew. He seemed unafraid. She was definitely in.
"I'd like to see these weeping angels."

The Eleventh was a bit concerned. However, his younger self would be capable of keeping Sarah Jane safe, that was what was making him think about it the most. He looked to Emilie, wondering if she thought this was a common occurrence. It wasn't supposed to be, but it seemed The Third would be joining them for the job.
"Alright, you two can help, but you need to stick to the plan." The Doctor started, explaining everything he knew thus far, "An Angel is a very serious threat. If you see one, don't blink. Blink and you're dead. Don't look into one's eyes for too long, or they'll get you that way too."
He looked to his younger self, then back to Sarah Jane. It was Sarah Jane's safety that worried him the most, Emilie's just as much. However, he couldn't just let the Weeping Angels do as they pleased in that museum, "Just, don't let them touch you, or look into your eyes, promise me and I'll let you both help."

Emilie shot her Doctor an amused glance. She hadn't thought there was any question of the Doctor or Sarah Jane helping once they expressed interest in it. She was not sure if even the Doctor could stop himself once he had his mind made up.
Instead of making a snarky comment, however, Emilie chose to refrain. She really did want to make a good impression on Sarah Jane. She might not be yet, but one day Sarah Jane Smith would have a name known across their galaxy and even beyond that.
Emilie glanced to her three companions for a moment before walking over to the TARDIS. She simply stood next to her, pressing her cheek against the familiar wood, one hand wrapped around the corner.
As much as she loved meeting the Doctor in any guise, the TARDIS felt like an anchor to her. Spending time with the TARDIS always helped her feel more at ease, and now was no exception.

The Third Doctor nodded his head in understanding, taking in every detail his older self told him about the creatures they were about to face. "I assure you, we'll be fine," he answered. "Sarah and I have dealt with many things before as you would know. We promise we'll be careful, won't we Sarah Jane?" He gave his companion a toothy, friendly grin, then headed over to the corner of the lab where his TARDIS was parked. Putting the key into the lock, he smiled at Emilie as she leaned against the blue box while he unlocked the door. "So we don't let them touch us or look in their eyes. What are the space-time co-ordinates for where your TARDIS is?"

"We'll be very careful." She agreed, quite brightly, thinking it hilarious, but not showing it at all. Instead she wore her best fake 'I'm telling you the absolute truth' smile, and as if to affirm that she and the Doctor always acted cautiously. She did not expect the Doctor's other self to miss the irony, but to take it as a sardonic cue that she'd heard him loud and clear.
Then her eyes flickered to her own dandy Doctor, seeing that in his way, he was telling the truth about being careful. He'd take care of Sarah Jane, and it would be alright. It might not be safe, but it would be alright.
Now her eyes went to this new person traveling with them. Sweet eager Emilie, seeing if she knew what Sarah Jane knew. She bet she did. She flashed a knowing smile at her, silently sharing secrets known by those who traveled with the Doctor.

The Eleventh looked around the room, trying to remember which way was which. Eventually it came to him, "2012, about thirteen miles east from this room, just outside the museum. You may want to aim it five yards to the right of that spot, so our TARDISes aren't touching." That was good enough. Together, the two Doctors would be able to aim it well so there were no collisions, Emilie would help.
Turning back to his friends and his former self, he nodded and said, "Let's be off then. World to save and all that, you know how it is." He paused a moment and asked, "Sarah Jane, why don't you show Emilie around the TARDIS for a moment, I need a private word with myself."
After the two women were far away enough, he started, "I'm sure you know that Sarah Jane cannot remember this occurring after we're done. Paradoxes and all that. Promise to make sure that she only has vague memories of today? Perhaps that Emilie and I are civilians? Not the future me and a future companion?"

Emilie had caught a glimpse of Sarah Jane's smile, and returned it with a mischievous one of her own.
Don't run off or get in any trouble, indeed.
Then this younger Doctor was at the door of the TARDIS, and Emilie made a valiant attempt to not bounce in her excitement as he unlocked the door. Physically unlocked it, that is. When did he get around to the snapping?
Must have been later on.
She paused briefly at her Doctor asking Sarah Jane to take her on a tour. She wasn't sure if it was meant to get them out of hearing range or just as an excuse to indulge her need to talk to the TARDIS. He could be thoughtful and private like that.
Still, she trusted him.
"Oh, could you? I would so love to see the changes she's done. Well, what she will have changed. You know what I mean, don't you, Sarah Jane?"
Emilie was already easing in to the bright white console room, a hint of adoration in her eyes.
Sometimes, she rather thought she was so attached to the Doctor simply because he and the TARDIS were such a joint package. Mostly only when he had done something to mildly irritate her, before he returned to some sort of sanity.
Not that she was one to talk, with how light her head had been feeling lately. She really ought to talk to him about that.
But later. Much later. Right now, she had a tour to see.

"Have has will done was?" She quipped back at Emilie. The TARDIS of this day has a bit of a feel of a ship to it. Something marvelously Edwardian about it, though the walls were bright and white, opening up the space even in the gently curved corridors. A ways down were the three bedrooms, one of three. She pushed the door open on an old cast iron frame bed heaped with all fluffy whites. There was a chaos of keepsakes and small wonders. There were portraits here and there, everything from drawings to holograms.
Two of the rooms hooked together, the other was across the hall. Sarah Jane thought of it as 'the boys room' for those rare occasions. She did not know where or if the Doctor slept, though there was a room she thought of as "His" that she did not go near.
Of these two connected room, one had a large, cast iron bed heaped with snowy whites. It is where she slept on very rare occasions. There was a roll top table near with a fine old typewriter on it, and pages of her hand written notes.
The place was homey, with perhaps too many amazing little knick knacks.
"Are they different, much, Emilie?"

"Exactly." Emilie beamed towards the woman. It was so marvelous to have the ability to meet someone that her Doctor had talked about so much.
The Sarah Jane Smith.
And it was just as wonderful to see this view of the TARDIS.
"Oh, the TARDIS always is a little different, you know. I think she changes to reflect the different Doctor's personalities. They're practically married."
Her tone might have sounded a little jealous, but it was more at the idea of being married to the TARDIS than it had anything to do with the Doctor.
Peering at the keepsakes, Emilie whistled quietly.
"These look brilliant. Did you travel much before you met the Doctor? He's always been a bit vague on those details."

As soon as he was told where to go, the Third Doctor began working at the console, flicking levers and turning dials. A few pushes of buttons, and they would soon be off. He couldn't help chuckling at the two companions as they smiled to each other and went off, then he heard what his future self said and sighed. "Yes, I thought as much," he sort-of agreed. "A shame, really. This promises to be a grand adventure. But I will find some way to prevent her from remembering." Something on the console quickly snapped his attention back to it, and he went back to his tireless little dance around it.
"So what about you?" he abrubtly asked. "I know you can't tell me too much, but what's it been like up to where you are now? Can you tell me anything about what we do? And if all our incarnations have excellent fashion sense." His hand automatically adjusted his bow tie at that comment.

The older Doctor patted his younger self on the shoulder, "Well, you'll just have to enjoy it when you become me, eh?" He laughed a bit before saying, "There are events in Sarah Jane's life that this event will interfere too much. She cannot know me for some time. She shouldn't even know about regeneration for a good, long while." Some things in his timeline could be rewritten, others, such as this, needed to remain the same.
When the Third Doctor asked him about what had happened in his life so far, The Eleventh cringed. There was so much he could not tell him. All the pain and the hate, the destruction that was the Time War. But then, there were the good times as well, "Life's still an adventure, my young friend." He chuckled when the younger Time Lord fixed the older's bow tie, "It took a good long while to regain this fashion sense. You'll see soon enough."

"I hadn't been anywhere." she said, picking up a small, Opaline globe out of it's three flanged metal holder of scroll work, remembering when he'd traded some gadget of it of his and presented it to her. "I'd been home and school and barn. Down to the piers were as far as I ever got, before the Doctor came. I've known him just short of a year now, and had quite a wild ride for some of it." She tossed the globe from hand to hand, then plunked it back into it's spot. Her face held some concern. Emilie seemed full of awe. Sarah Jane was as well, but she could take care of herself. Sort of.
You know that he's really not human, you get that, right, Emilie?"

How very curious indeed. Emilie supposed that she had only ever heard of Sarah Jane's adventures with, and to an extent after, the Doctor. She found the fact someone who had been rather settled could prosper into such a formidable force in her own right intriguing though.
"You know that he's really not human, you get that, right, Emilie?"
"Oh, of course!" Emilie agreed immediately, blinking a little at the thought of the Doctor ever being considered human. Such a vulgar word at times. "That's why I like him so well."
As far as she was concerned, not being human was a pretty strong plus.
"You know that he is completely mad, right, Sarah Jane?" Emilie teased back with a glittering smile.

As he listened, the younger Doctor nodded in understanding as the older explained about Sarah Jane. He couldn't help but feel a small bit of sadness when he said she shouldn't know about regeneration. For a good while. Which meant she would find out at some point. The Doctor had to admit, he rather liked his current form. Though this future one was certainly something to look forward to, he still hoped it would be a while.
"Well, I suppose I'll just have to have a lot of patience then," he smiled. "And let time progress in the right order...how frustrating." There was a groaning vworp, vworp as the TARDIS gently came to a halt. "A nice smooth landing," the Third commented. "For once. There's something." Flicking a switch, the small square scanner at the top of the wall to the side of the doors came on. "Best know what we're getting ourselves into."

When the younger Time Lord agreed, The Doctor grinned and nodded, "Good man. Just let them play out and enjoy the ride my friend, you'll be glad that you did." With that discussion at bay, The Doctor returned to focusing on their flight. It took a few moments to recognize the controls of the old desktop, everything looking so pristine and white. The TARDIS as she was with him was far more interesting, she had such personality with that layout. Of course, there was nothing wrong with the way she was now, young and innocent. The Doctor stroked her console lightly before returning to the task at hand.
Upon arrival, the other Doctor reminded him that they should look around where they were, "A good call Doctor," The Eleventh agreed. They were up against the Weeping Angels, which meant that they could not go out without expectations of their surroundings. "Do be careful looking through the monitor everyone," He started, "The image of an Angel is an Angel."
